A rectangular prism is ten centimeters long and 5 centimeters wide. The volume of the rectangular prism is four hundred cubic centimeters. Which is the height of the rectangular prism? ten centimeters eight centimeters four centimetres two centimetres

what do I do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well reverse how you normally find area. Since area is equal to length*width*height, divide 400 by 10 and then again by 5 (or by 50) 400/50 = 8

thank you so much I was trying to figure it out for the longest time

Yea it's a weird concept to learn. If you ever need to figure it out but you can't try just writing out the equation and plugging what the equation gives you in, and just solve for the variable. (I'm not sure if that makes sense so I apologize if it doesn't.)

it does (: thanks
