The apparent power and true power are equal in a circuit containing? A.only resistance B.only inductance C.only capacitance D.a mixture of resistance and reactance

OpenStudy (kropot72):

The apparent power and the true power are equal when the voltage and the current are in phase. This happens when a circuit contains only resistance. Note: When a circuit contains inductance and resistance it is possible to bring the current and the voltage into phase with the addition of a power factor correction capacitor of appropriate value.
