what is the reason for looking different colours?
it is due to the property of objects of specifically absorbing and reflecting certain colours of light that we are able to see different colours of differnt objects...
when photons light the atoms they provide energy so that electrons bump to higher levels of energy(higher orbits of an atom) When electrons bump back they radiate a photons with different values of frequency(different colors) which depend on an atoms and provided energy
Our eyes has some photo receptors that response differently to different wavelength. Scientist believe that there are 3 types of photopigments: S type (for radiation in shorter wavelength), M type (for radiation in middle wavelength), L type (for radiation in longer wavelength). When radiation falls on these photopigments, they give signal to the brain and brain create an image of the source and associates colour to it depending on the signal it receives by photosensitive receptors.
There is no colour outside all colourfull world is inside our brain.
