Rectangle ABCD has center O and AB/AD = k. A point is randomly chosen from the interior of the rectangle ABCD. What is the probability that it is closer to O than to any of the four vertices?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

aanother good one... draw the rectangle and then inside, you'll have to find the curve where the distance are equivalent (from vertex to center). the probability you want is the area inside that shape within the rectangle. I'll come back and see if I can draw it for you... but you're a sharp cookie so work on it

Umm... I think I have it?

let's see! I'm curious!

Because it was stated the O was the center

So, 1/2 on each side of O to AD or BC
