that is if it advances any pursuit in studies.  helping others on open study is not, by any means extracurricular, since it is not part of a whole academic endeavor.

think along the lines of "in addition" to the normal or pre-requisite activities, they are normally referred to as the electives or program electives

OpenStudy is a community service - if you think of the number of people who volunteeer at schools to help kids with their home work and math etc.  This is exactly the same - only better.  It is better because it is online and so helpers do  not need to physically go to a location.  It is better because helpers get to help many many people.  If you think you have been a good helper, we will evaluate your record and write a Letter of Record or Recommendation for you.  I will post something soon.

how about the help that I have deleted, will they appear on your record as well? I have used this system in the past to keep my "smart" score low :)

Irrelevant question but why would you want to keep your smart score low?
