OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

somebody needs to adjust the lighting in the room or use the flash in the camera

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

who knows, maybe he's in the basement, hiding out due to his mischiefs hehe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um no, It's just gloomy today... it's only 74 degrees F

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'll upload a better one

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

tis ok, I mean, I can see it, but .... I know digicam's can do much better this is a repeat btw, someone came with this exact one about 5 days or so ago, looked much sharper hehe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh haha and no I'm using my I touch so yeah idk..

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

so, to get the perimeter you have all sides but QE and WE use corresponding sides to get the values for those 2 say we can say that PQ corresponds to BN as well as QE corresponds to NI \(\bf \cfrac{PQ}{BN}=\cfrac{QE}{NI}\\ \textit{and solve for "z"}\\ \textit{the same way we can also say that}\\ \cfrac{PQ}{BN}=\cfrac{WE}{AI}\\ \textit{and solve for "x"}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok let me try

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It didn't come out right..?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmm, what did you get for "z" and "x"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.05 for z is that right so far?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

\(\bf \cfrac{PQ}{BN}=\cfrac{QE}{NI} \implies \cfrac{4}{10} = \cfrac{14z}{17.5} \implies \cfrac{4\times17.5}{10}=14z\)

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

\(\bf \cfrac{PQ}{BN}=\cfrac{WE}{AI} \implies \cfrac{4}{10} = \cfrac{2x+1}{12.5} \implies \cfrac{4\times 12.5}{10} =2x+1\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me try again ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got z=0.5 and x=2?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

yeap

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

which makes QE = 7 and WE = 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay so now do I just plug those in and add all the sides up for the perimeter?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thankyou... Sorry I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed..

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

yw
