Grammar- which is correct grammatically? "I live in Kansas and have never seen the ocean." or "I live in Kansas and never saw the ocean." ? What if you want to stress you lived in Kansas all your life? "I lived in Kansas for all my life and never saw the ocean."? If I use "lived" does that imply I'm still living in Kansas?
