what is the historical time period of Sir Gawain and the green knight?

OpenStudy (deadmoon27):

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is an Arthurian tale. Arthurian tales are mostly set in medieval time periods. I don't know how accurate you can get considering Arthur and his knights are simply legends but medieval times started sometime after the fall of the Roman Empire which was around 476bc and ended around the late 1400's I believe. So the simplest answer is medieval times.
