The coordinates of rectangle ABCD are A(3, -2), B(5, -2), C(5, -7), D(3, -7). What are the coordinates of the point of intersection of the diagonals of the rectangle after the rectangle is reflected across the x -axis?

after it's reflected across the x-axis means instead of y, sub -y the points you get are the coordinates of the new rectangle , the intersection point is the midpoint along both diagonals, so you can plot the rectangle to see which points does any diagonal pass and find the length of the diagonal then the midpoint

I hope that was helpful

(4, 4.5) (-4, 4.5) (4, 2.5) (-1, -4.5)] I apologize. I forgot to give you the answer choices. @Ahmad1

is that alright so far?

I'm trying to figure it out, but I can't.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

take the midpoint in both axes , the midpoint in the y-axis between 3 and 7, is 4.5 the midpoint in the x-axis between 3 and 5 is 4 so now, does (4,4.5) seems okay ?

sorry between 2 and 7 **
