Do you recall the formulas for sin x and cos x using the sides of a right triangle: "opposite" "adjacent" "hypotenuse" ?

You know which side the hypotenuse is, right. Its the side marked 20 in your example. Pretend like you are sitting on that angle marked with the x. The "adjacent side" is always the side nearest your angle. The "opposite side" is always the side that your angle is not touching on the opposite side of the triangle. Is 11 the adjacent side or the opposite side?
