64=8(r+2) Can anyone help?

thomaster (thomaster):

I'd first turn it around to make 8(r+2)=64 It's just easier to do. Now distribute the 8(r+2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

64=8r+16 48=8r r=6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

64=8r+16 so subtract 16 from each side 48=8r divide by 8 6=r

Did you guys notice that this is not a free answering service? Let the asker at least take some part in the analysis instead of just working out the problem yourself.
