well Saprotroph is latin for 'dead eater' so I assumed they ate dead or decaying material. So that would make them a decomposer like the fungus and most funguses are capable of digesting the large amount of cellulose in plants, but I don't have any of those as a option. Unless Plants and Fungus counts.

I think fungi would eat dead fungi too.
So I'd go for option 3 if I had to answer this question.
