If the average rate of change for a function f on the interval [2,5] is -3, then we know that (a) the function is increasing on the interval [2,5] (b) the function is decreasing on the interval [2,5] (c) the function f has a turning point in the interval [2,5] (d) the slope of the line connecting the points (2, f(2)) and (5,f(5)) is -3 The answer is (d) but im not sure why Thanks!
