GUYS PLEASE HELP ME!? Please find the least common denominator :) 3/x-1/6=7/12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well as you know, 6 is a factor of 12. Sothe least common denominator of 1/6 and 7/12 is 12. For 3/X, you can multiply your least common denominator from the other two numbers by x to come up a single common denominator. So your number would be in the form (a number)X

Multiply both sides by 12x (12x is the LCD for x, 6, 12) 36 + 2x = 7x Subtract 2x from both sides 5x = 36 Divide both sides by 5 x = 36/5 m06302013
