I can help you a bit on the way and set up a guide a lot of people use (some way or another) then you make it fit your self: 1) Define the problem 2) Gather information. 3) Form a hypothesis. 4) Do an experiment (I always try prove my hypothesis wrong) 5) Make some observations 6) Make a conclusion. 7) a) hypothesis falsified go to step 3. b) hypothesis not falsified go to step 4.
So we could say that hypothesis could be right.
