Imelda Marcus has 724 pairs of shoes, 11 pairs of pants, and 11 blouses. If you drew a tree diagram with her choices of blouses on the left, then for each blouse, her choice of shoes, then for each pair of shoes, her choice of pants, how many leaves will be on the right side of the tree?
B*S*P = ....
the answer choices are the following: 11 8760 87604 724 746 Out of those which ones would it be?
we are not running a free answering service here ...
they give you numbers for Blouses, Shoes, and Pants .... multiply them out .....
spose i have 2 options with 3 options each:|dw:1376430203559:dw| in the end i have 3+3 options; or simply 2*3 options; all your doing is multiplying all the option values together
okay you do 11*11*724 I was a little confused because I thought it was a trick question when they said that the blouses and pants were on the left side and they asked how many leaves would be on the right side. would this just disregard all of the number on the left which would be 87604 and just leave with with your starting number 11 because it is talking about the right side or is it just the same all around? I am sorry for the misunderstanding
yeah, the order that they presented was just for added wordage :)
if we could have distinguished between say red pants and blue pants then we would have had something more meaningful to work out ... but as is it was just the total number of options :/
okay, thanks for clearing that up and informing me on the rules of this website
youre welcome, and good luck :)
