a circle has a diameter of 10. what are the circumference and area of the circle? round to the nearest tenth if you answer you get a medal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, since the diameter equals 10, then the radius is half of that, or 5. the circumference=2pi(r), so it would be 2(pi)*5, or 10pi or about 31.4 the area would be pi (r)^2 = pi (5)^2 which equals 25pi or about 78.5
