Choose the slope-intercept equation of the line that passes through the point (-2, 2) and is parallel to y = 4x + 7. y = 4x + 10 y = 1/4x + 5 halves y = -4x - 6 y = -1/4x + 3 halves

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Parallel meaning same slope, so the slope of the equation is m=4 And it has to cross (-2, 2) So plug this info int the point-slope formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be y-2-4(x+2)

@Luigi0210

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

If you mean y-2=4(x+2) Then yes :) Just finish multiply it out and put it in slope intercept form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, thank you. (:

Anytime :)
