The sum of the degree measures of all the interior angles of a hexagon is (A) 540 (B) 720 (C) 1080 (D) 1440 I got A..just wondering if that's correct or not.

triangle has 1 * 180, rectangle has 2*180, pentagon is 3*180, hexagon is ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this notion comes from how many triangles can be created interiorly within a given shape. Hexagon can be formed by combining four triangles. so interior sum of it would be 180*4.
