Help please! I tried using the foil method but it didnt match up to one of the possible answers. Use FOIL to multiply the two binomials. (b – 3)(b + 9) A. b2 – 6b – 27 B. b2 + 12b – 27 C. b2 – 27 D. b2 + 6b – 27

It's not that hard (b*b)+(b*9)+(-3*b)+(-3*9) then combine like terms

OpenStudy (amistre64):

FOIL assumes that you are actually multiplying together the proper terms; if we just use the distribution property it orders itself without the error: (b – 3)(b + 9) b(b+9) – 3(b + 9) bb +9b – 3b -3(9)

I still dont get it.
