how would i solve --->|2x-1|-5>6 and once solved how would i convert answer in to interval form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[|2x-1|-5>6 \rightarrow |2x-1|>6+5 \rightarrow |2x-1|>11 \rightarrow 2x-1> \pm11\] i.e. 2x-1> 11 or 2x-1> -11 i.e. 2x> 11+1 or 2x> 1-11 i.e. 2x> 12 or 2x> -10 i.e. x> 12/2 or x> -10/2 i.e. x> 6 or x> -5 \[-5<x >6\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|2x-1|>11 -11>2x-1>12 -5>x>6
