\[7\sqrt{3}+8\sqrt{3}-2\sqrt{2}\]

OpenStudy (phi):

combine "like terms" if you have 7 root 3's and 8 more root 3's how many sqr(3)'s do you have ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

15 root of 3?

OpenStudy (phi):

yes, of course 2 sqr(2) is a different term (not a "like term") so that is all you can do \[ 15 \sqrt{3}-2\sqrt{2} \]
