I'm having a hard time with this question fill in the missing term so that the quadratic equation has a graph that opens up with a vertex of (-3,-25) and x intercepts at x= -8 and x= 2 (do not include the negative sign in your answer) y=x^2+6-_

16 is the answer. As y = (x+8)(x-2) satisfies the graph. You get Y = -25 when you substitute vertex of (-3,-25).

thank you

You're welcome! x intercepts at x= -8 and x= 2 there for (x+8) and (x-2) become the solutions forming the grapgh
