_______ use two processes to gain energy: they can use a type of photosynthesis but also break down organic material for their nutritional needs. A. Chemotrophic autotrophic bacteria B. Phototrophic autotrophic bacteria C. Chemotrophic heterotrophic bacteria D. Phototrophic heterotrophic bacteria I say A!
Do you know the difference between autotrophs and heterotrophs?
yep
So which 2 can you cancel?
A nd C correct?
It's kinda confusing with this. Use this image. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0e/Troph_flowchart.svg
The question says that the bacteria is able to break down organic meterial. So they can fix their own carbon. This would make them autotrophs. So you can cancel out C and D.
so from looking at the picture, i would guess the answer is D
No it can't be D, The bacteria can fix it's own carbon. So it's NOT an heterotroph. Possible answers are A and B. You can see in the image which one is correct.
B lol!
Correct :)
