please help solve for the variable... 16^(x+3)=32

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

16 can be written as 2^4 And thus 16^(x+3) can be written as 2^4(x+3) And also 32 is 2^5 right? So 2^4(x+3) = 2^5 Thus their bases are equal and thus the powers are same! EQUATE THE POWERS! X IS THE ANSWER!! :) Understood? :D
