Write the equation of the vertical line that contains the point (-5,-4)

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

If it is a vertical line then all we need is the 'x' value which is -5. So the equation is simply y=-5 (shouldn't there be an x value in there, too?)

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

According to this website http://www.mathsisfun.com/equation_of_line.html, the equation should be x = -5
