HELP!!!! Write the equation of the line that is parallel to the line y = 2x + 2 and passes through the point (5, 3). y = 2x − 7 y = −one half x − 2 y = 2x − 2 y = −one half x − 7

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

parallel to the line y = 2x + 2 Immediately discard the 2nd and the 4th. Wrong slope. That would be the correct slope if the problem statement had said "perpendicular". Okay, now what?
