"It ought also to be remembered that the citizens who inhabit the country at and near the seat of government will, in all questions that affect the general liberty and prosperity, have the same interest with those who are at a distance, and that they will stand ready to sound the alarm when necessary, and to point out the actors in any pernicious project. The public papers will be expeditious messengers of intelligence to the most remote inhabitants of the Union." could someone paraphrase this quote from the Federalist No.84?

well, what do citizens of a country have? They have pride in themselves, and pride in people that represent the country. imo- citizens of a country hold pride in their country and want to show their nationalism... in the same way, people in government want to display their pride and nationalism, but at the same time want to uphold equality and freedom of opinion. With everything that affects general liberty and prosperity to not only one nation, but to others as well, hold the same rights any one person may have. they would point out ones at fault or rather ones disrupting harmony.
