Does anyone know what factor led to the decision to hold war-crimes trials in Nuremberg Germany?

That'd be (A) Nuremburg was the birthplace of the Nazi Party. At the height of Nazi Germany's power under Hitler, it was where many of the largest Nazi rallies were held and considered the ceremonial birthplace of the Nazis in that regard.
