Do I capitalize clinical research coordinator (or position titles without mentioning the exact names)? I looked at Purdue OWL but I just understood that professions are not capitalized. I am under the impression that I would capitalize the title when the person’s name follows or precedes (Officer John Smith or Tom Small, Clinical Research Coordinator, attended a meeting).
