What is produced during the Krebs cycle? a. CO2, ATP, NADH, and FADH2 b. Pyruvate, CO2, and ATP c. ATP, FADH2, and H2O d. H2O, ADP, and NADH

OpenStudy (frostbite):

I can say the answer is a. But ATP is not got directly from Krebs cycle. We actually get GTP (guanosine triphosphate) and can have 2 fates: 1) Participate in the protein synthesis 2) be converted into ATP by an enzyme from the class of enzymes called nucleoside diphosphorkinases. The reaction would be: GTP + ADP -> GDP + ATP
