Select the equation that corresponds with the given graph I will draw the graph below Two points of the line are zero comma five and negative five comma six. y = -5x + 5 y equals negative 1 over 5 times x + 5 y equals 1 over 5 times x + 5 y = 5x + 5

^ the graph.

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

what is y at x=0 and x=-5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Y= -5?

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

You already have this info in your question: y(0)=5,y(-5)=6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhh, I feel silly.

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

I also didn't see that. So, we can use \( \dfrac{y_2 -y_1}{x_2-x_1}= m \) to solve this problem: \( \dfrac{y_2 -y_1}{x_2-x_1}= \dfrac{5 -6}{0-(-5)}=\dfrac{-1}{5} \) Then we need to use y=mx + b to find b. We know at y(0) = 5 which gives us b. We now have everything we need: $$y = \dfrac{-1}{5}x + 5$$
