The graph below is represented by which system of inequalities? two lines graphed on a coordiante plane. One line is dashed and passes through (-2, 0) and (0, 4), shading is above this line. The other line is dashed and passes through (4, 0) and (0, 4), shading is above this line. -4x + 2y < 8 y < -x + 4 -4x + 2y > 8 y greater than or equal to -x + 4 -4x + 2y < 8 y > -x + 4 -4x + 2y > 8 y > -x + 4

both are dashed lines so there is no equal sign. -4x + 2y > 8 y > -x + 4

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

you mean there is no \(\ge\) or \(\le\) that does not eliminate anything however. it would help if you convert the equations to the slope-intercept form: y=mx+b (except in this case, there is no equal sign but rather an inequality

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

let me do the very top equation for you -4x+2y<8 +2x +2x ---------- 2y=2x+8 y=x+4

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

actually correction to the second comment: I just realized that by using reasoning, the second choice is automatically eliminated. @MixedBreedGirl

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

Does that make sense? Based from what I have told you and what has been eliminated so far, can u figure this out on your own?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, that want meant.

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

can you solve based from what I told you @MixedBreedGirl
