i need help i have tried everything and i cant get the answer.......see pic below A rope that is 50 feet long is attached to the top of a flagpole. The rope reaches the ground 20 feet from the base of the pole. Find the height of the flagpole.

cos(x) = 20 / 50 = .4 arccos(.4) = 66.4218 sin(66.4218) = x / 50 .9165 * 50 = x x = 45.8258 The height is 45.8258 ft OR you can just do the Pythagorean theorem like he did
