Hey guys. What do they do for the recitation? Anything we need to know or work on? Or is it like lab work?
did you watch any?
Lectures at schools like MIT are 300 students and a prof.... Recitation is like 30 to 40 students and a grad student. They generally do more of the hands on work, question and answer, etc. in recitations.
to be honest, recitations are a Q&A session, mixed with showing you a little bit of new stuff, and going over what was said in the lecture. Hence the 'recite' part of the recitation.
I'm not very far in the course, but even though the first recitation mainly just repeated what the lectures had said, I still found it very helpful. I think it's really good if it's been a few days since you watched a lecture. It refreshes you and explains, though it is a little long!
