I believe something like this : Art depicts real life problems/ scenes/ emotions etc. For example, paintings visualize a certain scenario for us, let it be a girl in a flowery dress, or a soldier in combat, it still works thew same way, helping us see how a girl in a flowery dress can be happy while a soldier in combat could be frustrated and depressed. Then there's music, music usually describes everyday relationships, hardships and happiness. Just like Blaze said, there's also poetry and what not that could be used to find meaning in the outside world.
