Is this correct? Is there anything else I need to do to finish the question? [9.05] Part 1: Create your own quadratic equation that cannot be solved by factoring, but can be solved using the quadratic formula. Identify the values of a, b, and c, and find the solutions using the quadratic formula. Show all work to receive credit. y = -3x^2 - x + 5 a = 3 b = -1 c = 5 x = -(-1)+- sqrt -1^2 – 4*-3*5 / 2*-3 x = 1 +- sqrt 61 / -6 x = 1 +- 7.810 / -6 x = 1 + 7.810 = 8.810 / -6 = - 1.463 x = 1 – 7.810 = -6.810 / -6 = 1.135 x = 1.135 x = -1.463
