What is the slope of the line passing through (-3, 5) and (5, -3)? slope = -1 slope = 0 slope = 1 no slope my calc is being stupid plz help

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Who needs calcs? :3 Slope is all about differences so just get the difference of the y-values and divide it by the difference of the x-values.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

slope = (y1-y2)/(x1-x2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[slope=\frac{(y2−y1)}{(x2−x1)}=\frac{−5−3}{5−(−3)}=\frac{−8}{5+3}=\frac{−8}{8}=−1\]
