according to ellis preface, what is so phenomenal about the founding of the united states

1) First of all the United States won against the best army and navy of its time, which only happened because Britain did not fight to its full potential at the early stages of the revolution. Probably the biggest shocker though was that the America’s Republic survived, not because people thought that there was a lack of resources or anything else needed for survival, but because people thought there was a lack of a unifying entity, which was one of its biggest problems in its beginning for the US, organizing a national government. There were so many doubts because a republic was uncommon to nations compared to the common monarchs in those days 2) According to Ellis, the founding of the United States was phenomenal not only because it fought and won against the best army and navy in the world (Britain's), but because it actually survived and became a unified nation with an organized national government. 3) The founding of the United States is portrayed as phenomenal in Ellis’s preface. There are many concepts from the text that support this proposal. One is that every event leading up to the founding was “unprecedented,” meaning there were no examples previously set to guide the founders along the right path. It is much simpler for one to look back on what has already happened than to figure out a problematic situation on one’s own. Another idea to ponder is that an area of land as large as the thirteen colonies is and was hard to obtain and control, especially if the land has no history of cooperating. This is exemplified with the natives and the explorers during the late fifteenth century. Because these relatably challenging statements are all too true, it illustrates that the founding of the United States is truly exceptional. I COPIED THIS OFF OF THE INTERNET THIS IS NOT MY OWN WORDS, AND BTW DON'T USE WORD FOR WORD 1,2, and 3 ARE DIFFERENT WAYS OF SAYING IT!
