Going against the current a boat takes 6 hours to make a 120mile trip. when the boat travels with the current on the return trip, it takes 5 hours. what is the rate of the boat in still water?

so if speed of boat in still water is Sb and speed of current is Sc When the boat is against the current, its speed is Sb - Sc = 120 miles / 6 When its with the current, its speed is Sb + Sc = 120 miles / 5 So you have a pair of equations ....
