Diana has some lollipops. If she gives 18 lollipops to her friends, she will be short of 30 lollipops. If she gives 14 lollipops to her friends, she will be short of 10 lollipops. a) How many friends does she have? b) How many lollipops does Diana have? How can I explain this to a ten-year-old without confusing him (i.e. using algebra, and diagrams instead)? Hahaha! Thank you in advance!
