It’s your turn to be a game show host! As you know, in the game of Math Time, the contestants are given an answer and they must come up with the question that corresponds to the given answer. Your task for this portion of the assignment is to create two different “answers” (and the questions that accompany them) that the host could use for the final round of Math Time. The questions and answers you create must be unique. Check out the example and hint below, if needed. Example: Question for Host: x^2 : x2 + 6x + 5 is the product of these two binomials. answer:(x + 5)(x + 1)?
@uri
okay come up with your own answer then we will say if it's good or not… were you expecting us to give you answers?
I don't know how to make the problem and make an answer for it so im asking if one of u can give me a method on how to slove these kind of problems
there's no method, just follow the example. do you know what's monomial, binomial, trinomial and polynomial?
heh... to be honest not the slightest. Math is always the subject I have trouble with I apologize.
You want to solve x2 + 6x + 5 by two methods to get (x + 5)(x + 1)??
yes
@xoya
Okay so first I'll tell you about the middle term breaking method :) In this method you break the middle term that is 6x in the example We have to break it in 2 numbers in such a way that when we add those numbers we get 6x and when we mutliply them we get 5 x2 + 6x + 5 x2+5x+1x+5 See here 1 and 5 are the two numbers when we add both of them we get 6 and when we multiply them we get 5 I hope I'm clear :) Let me know then I'll move further :)
yeah that makes sense
Okay so now I'll move on x2 + 6x + 5 x2+5x+1x+5 Take common x(x+5)+1(x+5) Both the brackets are same so write them once and write the left ones in one (x+5)(x+1)
That makes sense ty for explaining
Yw :)
