The area of a parallelogram is 56 ft² after its dimensions were doubled. What is the area of the original parallelogram? I need help working this out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whenever the dimensions are doubled for a parallelogram, the new area is 4 times the original.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what do you think you need to do?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

yeah what @cydnimarie said ^^ multiply area by 4

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

oh sorry divide by 4 since original is smaller

OpenStudy (anonymous):
