You already know that it's a genetic disease. 

It's a RECESSIVE genetic disease, 
and it's SEX-LINKED, on the X chromosome. 

Do you know what "recessive" and "sex-linked" mean?

women has both her xx s defective which when mating will automatically combine with either the normal X of husband and a girl with carrier state or if its a boy the only x which would lead to disease...
