If a step up transformer has input voltage of 120 and 30 turns of wire, what is the output voltage if there is 10 turns of wire? Show your work and include all formulas and units.

OpenStudy (radar):

I am not so sure this is a step up transformer (voltage wise) I am assuming that the primary consist of 30 turns, and the secondary 10 turns or 3:1 this would output a voltage of 40 volts with 120 volts input. Check to see if it was a "step down"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the formula is n1v1=n2v2 were 1's are for primary n 2's for secondary n solve
