-|4 - 8b| = 12 I don't really know how to tackle this question. Do I just make it -4 + 8b = 12, -4 + 8b = -12 or do move the negative to the other side to isolate the absolute value?

give up before you start

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what can you say about the absolute value of ANY quantity? go ahead and move the negative to the right side... does the resulting equation make any sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the left hand sides is negative, and the right hand side is positive, so you cannot solve this

Thanks guys.
