HOW DO YOU FIND SURFACE AREA ?? ASAP PLEASEE
LOOK AT IT QUICKLY AND MULTIPLY THE LENGTHS AND WIDTHS OF EACH FACE.
Surface area of what? Just find the area swept by the body itself!
Surface area is the total area of the faces and curved surface of a solid figure :)
How you find the surface area, depends on what you want to find the surface area of. There is different formulas.
cylinder with diameter 2 yards and height 5 yards
2 pi r ^2 + 2 pi r h
Surface Area = Areas of top and bottom +Area of the side Surface Area = 2(Area of top) + (perimeter of top)* height Surface Area = 2(pi r 2) + (2 pi r)* h
A cylinder's TSA is its curved surface area + the area of the bottom and the top. Or2*pi*r(r+h) Put the values in! :)
UGH IM NOT GETTING THIS
;(
What part do you not understand?
HOW TO GET THE AWNSER LIKE IM JUST NOT GETTING IT?
Do you understand how to use the formula?

|dw:1376916588614:dw| Now what is the area og the top and the bottom? The area of a circle right? So It should be 2*pi*r*r Which in your case would be 2*pi And what is the Curved Surface area of a Cylinder? it is 2*pi*r*h In your case 2*pi*1*5 10*pi NOW TOTAL SURFACE AREA SHOULD BE BOTH 'ADDED' NOW JUST ADD THEM SO THE TSA WOULD BE 12*pi!! :D Understood? :)
IM SO DUMB I GET IT NOW THANK YOU SO MUCH CAN U HELP ME WITH SOMEMORE?
You are not dumb! :) Yeah sure! But TRY them yourself first! :)
cube with side length of 3 yards
IM LOOKING FOR SURFACE AREA
Jessica press the caps lock button a second time so that it's not on. It's annoying.
ijust relized lol sorry
No problem, much better! =D
|dw:1376917082330:dw| Surface area of a cube is 6*(side)^2 [Because we take the areas of all the squares] So here the TSA should be = 6*9 = 54 yard^2!! Getting me? :D
