i have Y=-3/4 X+4 how do i figure out the domain and range i dont just want the answer i wanna know how to do it for other problems including the ones with the lessthen signs or lessthen an equal

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

domain is all the x values and range is the y values

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ivettef365 how do i write that and figure it out for each equation

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

is that the whole question, because there are many values for x and y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

@ivettef365

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ivettef365 how do i figure it out it says state domain and range for each graph use interval notation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ivettef365 is that true for al what about ones that dont have y equal and have a less than sign or a less the band equal

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

actually its is y = -3/4x + 4 so it is a negative slope, didn't notice that goes as follows Domain (inf, -inf) Range (inf, -inf)

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

I believe is the same Domain and Range for < or <=

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

now if it is > or >= then it would be Domain (-inf, inf) Range (-inf, inf)
