help algebra 1.
the quadratic equation has a graph that opens up, with a vertex of (– 2, – 16), and x intercepts at x = -6 and x = 2. (Do not include the negative sign in your answer.) y = x2 + 4x − ___
So you know that the graph is equal to 0 at the points x=-6 and x=2. So you can just look at them like this: x+6=0 and x-2=0 and multiply them together since what you've multiplied together will now have to be =0 when you plug in those x values. (x+6)(x-2)=0 Now just foil them out to find your answer.
can you help cause I don't know how to foil it out
