Does anyone know Algebra who could help me? Please do! I really need it!

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

What do you need?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would I solve "(~J ∩ S) U B" ? The problem Venn Diagram that looks like this:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you could explain how to solve this type of problem thatd be great

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

OK so in words, (~J ∩ S) ∪ B, means everything that is not in set J common with the members of set S , then combined with the members of set B.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im sorry, but what do you mean by "everything that is not in set J common with the members of set S" ? Do you mean everything that IS in set S but not in set J?? I get the combined with the members of Set B part though.

OpenStudy (calculusfunctions):

Yes that is exactly what I meant!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok I understand now! Thank you!!!

OpenStudy (amistre64):

(-J n S) u B (-J u B) n (S u B) hmmm, i was trying to see if there was an algebra way to simply state it is -J
